The Witcher is already on track to being Netflix's biggest first season ever. Despite its popularity on the streaming site, the show has its own fair share of criticisms from the fans. While not all of these issues will be fixed, it looks like the second season will address its biggest criticism from the first season.
"Everything about The Witcher has been a real learning process for me," showrunner Lauren Hissrich told Writer Experience. "It's the beauty of being able to do this for the first time and then get to come back and do it again."
Hissrich also revealed that season two will be "exciting," especially since it gives them a chance to look at the mistakes they have made in the first season and correct them. "It's a chance to look at the mistakes we've made in season one and do it better, tell stories better, improve some things, look at what didn't work, get rid of it and start over," Hissrich continued.
She also revealed that the Nilfgaardian armor will be "totally different," which is one of the things that fans have pointed out in season one. "You have that opportunity [with season two] to go back and course-correct if you want to.," Hissrich said.
The showrunner didn't go into detail with regards to how drastic the change will be, as well as the parts that she thinks would need some more improvement. Regardless, fans would be delighted to know that Hissrich is listening to the fans and tries to do the best that she can.
