The Witcher Season 2 Set Photos Confirm COVID-19 Safety Measures

The cast and crew of The Witcher Season 2 have officially gone back to work on the highly anticipated follow-up to the Netflix series. However, fans can rest assured that everyone is taking the necessary safety measures so they can stay safe while filming. The recent photos taken from the set of the show reveal just how far everyone is willing to go to stay safe after the COVID-19 scare.

Showrunner Lauren S. Hissrich shared a set photo on her official Twitter account revealing that the crew are always wearing masks and face shields. Take a look at the image below.

"I answered a FaceTime call on set from my seven-year-old in this PPE," Hissrich wrote. "He very politely said, 'Hi, can I speak to Mommy please?'"

The face masks and shields are not the only things that are keeping the cast and crew apart on the set. Director Stephen D Surjik also shared his own photo confirming that he has to keep his distance from Hissrich while they are discussing plans in between shooting.

"First day back after mid-spring lockdown on Witcher S2. Learning to social distance with my showrunner/Exec Producer, Lauren Schmidt Hissrich. She can conjure narrative and character with a muscular control like the great Houdini. ⁦@LHissrich," Surjik wrote.

It's great to see that everyone working on The Witcher Season 2 is properly prepared with their safety measures. Although there was no sight of Henry Cavill or the rest of the cast, there is little doubt that they are also staying safe while filming.

The Witcher Season 2 has not yet been given an official release date. However, it is expected to air on Netflix by 2021.
