The Walking Dead's Negan Chooses His Next Victim in Amazing Tekken 7 DLC Trailer

When Negan from The Walking Dead was revealed as one of the season 2 characters for Tekken 7, fans did not know how to feel. While most fighting game fans are always down to see weird guest characters in fighting games, even they thought that having a character from The Walking Dead was pretty weird, given how gritty and grounded TWD is, while Tekken has always been a ridiculous anime-like fighting game.

Bandai Namco has revealed a new gameplay trailer that solely focuses on Negan in the game and fans of The Walking Dead are in for a treat. The trailer recaptures the ridiculously tense scene where he threatened to kill one of Rick's crew. Now, he does the same for the Tekken characters but not before kicking their butts first.

Honestly, the character's move-set is a bit dull since he doesn't really have any flashy moves. To be fair, since the game is filled with fighters who have crazy, over-the-top moves, having a more subdued fighter like Negan might have some appeal for some. Still, compare Negan's gameplay reveal to say, 2B's in Soulcalibur VI and you can see why some people find this reveal a bit disappointing.

Fans may disagree and those that watch the show probably had a blast with this trailer. It was painstakingly recreated to amazing detail and we can all appreciate that. Why he chose to "kill" Paul Phoenix of all people is a bit confusing but, just like Glenn, Paul is a fan-favorite fighter.

Tekken 7 is available now on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Negan's DLC release date has not been revealed, though the second character pass can now be purchased.
