The Simpsons Renewed For Seasons 31 and 32

Fox

Fox may be going through a lot of changes since Disney is purchasing the company but it's not over for The Simpsons. Today, Fox has announced that has renewed The Simpsons for Seasons 31 and 32, according to a press release today.

The Simpsons, the longest-running primetime scripted TV series, will continue through after gracing the television screens for 713 episodes since 1990. At an estimated 20 minutes per episode, it would take you more than 10 days to watch all the episodes of the 32 seasons without stopping.

In recent years, The Simpsons was under fire for its character Apu Nahasapeemapetilion, an Indian-American character who works at the Kwik-E-Mart convenience store. Many criticized the character for the show's negative, stereotypical depiction of South Asians. The producers have responded to criticisms in interviews and on-air.

The series, currently airing its 30th season, has won a Peabody and 33 Emmy awards.

Are you happy that The Simpsons has been renewed for two more seasons?
