What Is The Sex Lives of College Girls Season 2 Story About?
The Sex Lives of College Girls was created by Mindy Kaling and Justin Noble as an addicting coming-of-age comedy. The show follows four College girls: Bela (played by Amrit Kaur), Kimberly (played by Pauline Chalamet), Whitney (played by Alyah Chanelle Scott), and Leighton (played by Reneé Rapp).
In an interview with Collider, Kaling said:
"In this first season… there's obviously so much fun stuff that happens to them, but [there] are really a lot of trials that they have to go through, each of them. We wanted them to go through serious sh*t and traumatizing sh*t, and seeing how they deal with it. By putting those characters through the ringer like that, it helped us have them depend on each other a little bit more. They really don't want to. They're randomly assigned roommates, and some of them say, 'I don't wanna be living with you.' Life can be really hard on campuses for young women and we wanted to show all of that, and not just the fun, sexy part, but the parts that were a little uglier, to be honest."
For the second season, Kaling plans to continue that narrative.
"Just seeing how the cast embodied the roles has really informed the trajectories for the characters and where we throw them in season 2, which is lots of funny and horny situations coming their way."
