Now that production for Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's Black Adam project is finally underway, it won't be long until fans of the DC Extended Universe get to see the epic clash between the Man in Black and his fiercest foe in the comics Shazam. Now, considering The Rock's imposing stature, Zachary Levi may have to put in some extra effort to at least look formidable when Billy Batson finally goes toe-to-toe with Teth-Adam.

Speaking of the 2019 film, while a lot of DCEU fans found it pretty enjoyable, the actual Shazam costume the actor wore in the film generated a ton of criticism for looking quite unnatural and it was obvious that Levi was wearing a padded suit, something he later admitted in an interview.

Of course, someone like Johnson won't have to worry about having to wear because the former WWE superstar is already a mountain of a man. Now, his strength coach is sharing new details about the actor's intense workout regimen in preparation for his role as Black Adam. In an interview with Muscle & Fitness, Dave Rienzi praised Johnson not only for his work ethic but for taking care of his monstrous physique as well.

He said: "It's a fun process when you have someone like [Johnson] who is so driven, disciplined, and determined to do the work. There's a continuously evolving vision that we are always working towards. We've been building up to the Black Adam movie for a while, with this goal of creating a real-life superhero physique… with no padded superhero suit necessary."

Now, I may be wrong but did The Rock's fitness coach just throw shade at Zachary Levi and his physique? Reading between the lines, it's safe to say that Rienzi's statement may have taken a little jab at Levi's padded costume and if I were the actor, I'd be putting in the same effort The Rock does to become a credible superhero/comic book film actor. Of course, I'm pretty sure Levi is doing his best as of the moment but I gotta say, he needs a lot of catching up to do.

Black Adam is slated for release in 2022.
