The DC Universe has been in the midst of an ongoing drama after James Gunn revealed that they've officially come to terms with Henry Cavill's removal as the franchise's Superman. On top of that, the last few days have seen the DC Studios co-CEO confirm a number of bombshell news regarding their long-term plans for the revamped film and television franchise — from the cancelation of Wonder Woman 3 to him developing a new Superman project which will feature a much younger version of the Man of Steel.

While fans are still reeling following Cavill's shocking and unfortunate DCU fate, a new rumor surfaced just recently that the 39-year-old British star has severed ties with longtime manager Dany Garcia, who happens to be Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's former spouse.

According to Johnson himself, there's zero legitimacy to the ongoing reports. Responding to The Direct's now-deleted tweet, The Rock said that the rumor is "100% not true". While he didn't go into detail, we can safely assume that Cavill is still being represented by the actor's ex-wife. There also seems to be no bad blood between the two because Garcia is still seen commenting on Cavill's social media posts voicing her support for him.

The Rock has seemingly fallen victim to malicious reports over the last couple of days but despite the fact that he's been debunking most of them, his DCU status remains unclear. Intriguingly, he hasn't been much vocal about his future plans in the franchise as he was when Black Adam was initially released.

DC's Black Adam is now streaming on HBO Max.
