Even though it’s still months before the anime’s release, The Rising of the Shield Hero Season 3 just announced a world premiere tour that will begin in the US this July.
This world tour will bring the highly anticipated third season of Shield Hero to five countries, with countries being visited in the next months until it culminates in the Japanese premiere this October.
The Rising of the Shield Hero Is Heading to Anime Expo 2023
The show’s premiere was announced recently through official channels. And as expected, the July US premiere will take place at Anime Expo 2023.
This makes sense given that Anime Expo is one of the biggest anime events in the US. Though a screening won’t be the only thing that fans can look forward to during the event.
On the anime’s official Twitter account, it was revealed that Kadokawa will bring a huge booth to Anime Expo, and it will feature exhibits of upcoming titles.
Aside from Shield Hero, the booth will also feature Delicious in Dungeon, and more.
Alongside photo exhibits, the booth will also feature exclusive giveaway items for visitors.
These include goodies for anime titles like Re:Zero, Overlord, KonoSuba, and more.
Though the highlight giveaway is a paper shield that’s styled after Naofumi’s signature shield from the anime.
It will also come with a belt, as well as a visual of Naofumi on the other side.

The Rising of the Shield Hero Season 3 World Premiere Tour Happening in 5 Countries
For the premiere though, The Rising of the Shield Hero Season 3 will kick off its world premiere tour at Anime Expo on July 3, 2023. Not a lot of details have been revealed, but it’s likely that Episode 1 will be shown there.
After this, there will be premiere events in Paris, France and Austin, Texas later in July. Here, it’s also expected that attendees will get to watch the first episode of the anime ahead of everyone else.
Then in August, the world premiere tour will travel to Mannheim, Germany and Toronto, Canada.
Finally, the tour will culminate in a Japanese premiere that’s happening in Tokyo this October.
The Rising of the Shield Hero Season 3 will be released on TV and streaming platforms beginning in October 2023. Though there’s no word yet on a specific release date.
