The Punisher Fans Are Preparing For Possible Cancellation Of Marvel Show On Netflix

The second season of The Punisher has not yet premiered but fans are already concerned about the future of the Jon Bernthal series. After all, Netflix has been dropping Marvel shows without any warning.

The Punisher Season 2 has recently wrapped filming and the new season is expected to air on Netflix this January. Although this should be something to celebrate, people are understandably wary of what will happen after Frank Castle's sophomore run.

There's a good reason why everyone is so worried about The Punisher. Netflix has recently cancelled Daredevil after its third season was released. Before that, the streaming giant had pulled the plug on Iron Fist then Luke Cage a week later. Interestingly, Netflix had decided not to renew Daredevil although it proved to be one of the most popular shows on the streaming service.

Although it's still unclear whether Netflix will cancel The Punisher after Season 2, there is much to look forward to in the series next year. Ben Barnes is set to reprise his role as Billy Russo, who suffered a horrific fate in the first season. There is little doubt that Billy's mangled face will earn him the moniker Jigsaw and the villain could go after Frank Castle. However, there is a possibility that Billy isn't the only baddie who will make an appearance in the Marvel series.

The Punisher Season 2 has not yet been given an official release date. Nevertheless, the series is expected to return on Netflix in January 2019.
