The New Mutants Is Reportedly Being Pushed Back Yet Again

Marvel might be eager to complete the X-Men film roster so that it can prepare for the franchise's eventual reboot, however, word on the street says that 20th Century Fox's The New Mutants movie might see delay again.

Though Disney seemingly confirmed The New Mutant's release in August, a new report from iHorror suggests that the film is being pushed back again, this time to another undetermined date of release. If the rumors are proven true, than this might be the third time the film has been moved from its original release date which was set back in April 2018.

There's been a lot of trouble surrounding The New Mutant's production. When we heard of the film's first delay, word had it that the film's script would be updated and that reshoots would add a brand new character to the film's story. However, those reshoots have not yet taken place. Not only that, but The New Mutants director Josh Boone has moved on from the project to start working on the writers room for the new series based on Stephen King's book The Stand.

Recently there have been rumors saying that the reshoots might never take place and that the film may never see a theatrical release.

The New Mutants actress Maisie Williams who has moved on to film and complete her scenes for the final season of Game of Thrones ever since wrapping up her work on the X-Men film is unsure about the status of the movie.

"Who knows when the f**k that's gonna come out," she said in a previous interview. "Hopefully this interview will make everyone hurry up a little bit!"

Will The New Mutants still see release? Let's wait and see.

The New Mutants is set to premiere on August 2.
