The Muppets return to the small screen with The Muppets Mayhem. But instead of delivering a variety of sketch comedy, they will be busy working on their first-ever studio album this time.

The Muppets Mayhem will see the Electric Mayhem band, led by Dr. Teeth on vocals and keyboards, on an epic musical journey. With the help of the young music executive Nora Singh (Lilly Singh), the group is ready to take on the modern music scene.

The Muppet Show House Band in The Muppets Mayhem

The Electric Mayhem has been The Muppet Show's house band and the franchise's staple since the original series debuted in 1976.

The group is composed of Dr. Teeth on piano and vocals; Janice on lead guitar; Floyd on bass; Zoot on sax; and Animal on drums.

But despite being a band for decades, they haven't done real music yet. Thankfully, this is about to change in the upcoming The Muppets Mayhem on Disney+.

The Electric Mayhem will finally be working on their first album, though they still seem uninterested when their new music is completed.

By the looks of it, fans are about to see chaos as they try to produce their debut album.

Lily Singh on Joining The Muppets Mayhem

Singh talked about joining The Muppets universe after being cast as Nora in The Muppets Mayhem.

Though it was a match for her, she said it came with "a lot of pressure."

"There's a sense of nostalgia for a lot of people," she stated via Entertainment Weekly.

Nora would help Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem record their first-ever album in the series.

The Best Post-Jim Henson The Muppet Show

According to The Los Angeles Times, The Muppets Mayhem could be dubbed as the best post-Jim Henson The Muppet Show.
