After getting delayed earlier this year, The Misfit of Demon King Academy Season 2 finally returned. To celebrate, a new NSFW visual of Misha and Sasha was shared.
This new visual was shared on the show’s official Twitter account, and it is a unique depiction of Misha and Sasha Necron.
Though this is a treat for certain fans, viewers will need to wait a bit longer for the proper next episode of the second season to air.
The Misfit of Demon King Academy Season 2 Finally Restarts
Originally, The Misfit of Demon King Academy Season 2 was set to broadcast its first cour in Winter 2023.
But as with many shows during the season, such as NieR: Automata Ver1.1a, the anime entered an extended hiatus.
Most of the anime delays were blamed on COVID as many Chinese outsourced animation studios were affected by a wave of COVID infections from late 2022 to early 2023.
Soon, it was announced that The Misfit of Demon King Academy Season 2 will return in the Summer 2023 season, but it will get a restart.
What this means is that instead of resuming with Episode 7, the second season will instead get rebroadcast in Japan starting from Episode 1.
This means the new episodes will only be released around mid-August. But what’s not clear is when the second half of the show will air.
Previously, it was announced that Season 2 will get a split-cour broadcast. If this is still the case, we might see Season 2’s second half in Winter 2024.

NSFW Misha and Sasha Visual Revealed for Dengeki Bunko Anniversary
Even though the new episodes are still a month away, the fact that it resumed is great news for fans.
To celebrate, the anime will be featured in the Dengeki Bunko 30th Anniversary celebration which will happen on July 15.
To mark both the series’ return and the upcoming anniversary event, the anime shared an NSFW visual of Misha and Sasha on the official Twitter account, depicting them as mermaids.

For now, there’s no word yet on whether this special visual will be used in a merch lineup.
Though based on the replies, it seems that many fans are hoping to see merch such as clear files that feature this NSFW image.
The Misfit of Demon King Academy Season 2’s first six episodes are now available to stream on Crunchyroll.
Other episodes are expected to release on the platform in mid-August.
