After its announcement back in November, the upcoming original anime The Marginal Service just got a new key visual and trailer that revealed the show’s April 2023 release. This new trailer was shared alongside a new visual and info about the anime via official channels.
The Marginal Service Cast
The Marginal Service is an original anime series by Cygames, the Japanese game development studio behind Uma Musume and Granblue Fantasy.
While Cygames is known mostly for its games, the company has expanded into anime in recent years.
Just this season, Cygames teamed up with P.A. Works for the original anime series Akiba Maid War.

Much like the initial reveal, the new announcement did not reveal much when it comes to the story. Though the trailer does give us an idea of what to expect, including how it seems to have several NSFW scenes.
What was also revealed are the names of the main characters, along with the well-known voice cast members that will voice them, which include:
- Kouki Uchiyama (Meruem in Hunter x Hunter) as Peak Desmont (the squirrel)
- Hiro Shimono (Zenitsu in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba) as Cyrus N. Kuga
- Tomokazu Sugita (Gintoki in Gintama) as Bolts Dexter
- Yūichi Nakamura (Satoru Gojo in Jujutsu Kaisen) as Robin Timbert
- Kaori Nazuka (Eureka in Eureka Seven) as Lyra Candyheart
- Shinichiro Miki (Roy Mustang in Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood) as Theodore Thompson
- Mamoru Miyano (Light Yagami in Death Note) as Brian Nightraider
- Toshiyuki Morikawa (Minato Namikaze in Naruto) as Zeno Stokes
The Marginal Service Anime Release Date
For this series, Cygames teamed up with 3Hz, the studio behind shows such as The Devil Is a Part-Timer! Season 2 and Sword Art Online Alternative: Gun Gale Online.
While The Marginal Service's studio is different from Akiba Maid War's, based on the trailer and the new key visual, anime fans can expect a similar level of over-the-top action and craziness.
Meanwhile, the new visual does show off the unique uniforms that the main cast wears. This is a departure from the previous key visual which showed them all without any clothes.
The Marginal Service anime will premiere in April 2023. Though right now, there’s no word yet on which platform it will be streamed on outside Japan.
