There is little doubt that people are getting vaccinated to avoid contracting COVID-19. However, there are still a few who are strongly opposed to the vaccine and refusing to get the shot. Interestingly, The Mandalorian star Giancarlo Esposito has a scathing message for actors and crew members who do not want to get the vaccine.
The Hollywood Reporter recently wrote a lengthy feature on how the film industry is still struggling to put universal vaccine mandates in place. Although it is now yet mandatory for actors and crew members to be vaccinated before they can work, most stars believe it should be a requirement to ensure the safety of everyone on the set.
Interestingly, Esposito is one actor who wants to see this happen. The Better Call Saul star shared a message for actors who still want to work without getting the vaccine.
"If you don't want to vaccinate, go to a small island and sequester yourself," Esposito said. "[Otherwise] you're saying ‘F--k you' to all you other human beings. We all have to do it if we want to live."
Esposito continued by stating that he is confused why certain people are refusing the vaccine.
"I don't understand how people don't vaccinate. For me, I've lost dear friends, so I know it's real. Not only in Europe but in America, friends who were completely healthy and uncompromised. The vaccine is the answer," he said. Esposito concluded by giving an option for those who are still firmly against the vaccine.
"I'm not downing anyone who doesn't want to vaccinate. Don't work. Go ride it out somewhere where you're not going to compromise anyone else if you get it," Esposito concluded.
Esposito's stand is strongly opposed to Letitia Wright's, who had reportedly been sticking to her anti-vax views on the set of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Either way, Hollywood could impose vaccinations for general safety in all productions in the future.
