It goes without saying that Pedro Pascal's career has skyrocketed to the stratosphere over the last number of years, and while Star Wars fans would want him to stick around and almost become exclusive to the franchise for as long as he could, it was only a matter of time before he got offers to do more high profile projects in Hollywood.

This became sort of an issue during the production of The Mandalorian's third season. You see, apart from the setbacks it experienced during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as Gina Carano's shocking firing in early 2021, Pascal's involvement in HBO's The Last of Us prevented him from committing full-time, at least physically to his Star Wars gig.

Appearing on The Hollywood Reporter's roundtable interview with fellow actors Jeff Bridges, Kieran Culkin, Damson Idris, Michael Imperioli, and Evan Peters, Pascal finally confirmed what many suspected about his performance in Season 3.

Pascal explained: "There was an extended amount of experimentation, being in the suit for a lot of it, and frankly, my body wasn’t up for the task as far as, like, the four months of it. But I was in it."

"I was in it a significant amount, an elastic amount. But now we’ve figured it out, which is super cool, and amazingly, it gave me the opportunity to be able to go and do something else," the actor added.

Although there's growing concern over Pascal's MandoVerse status, fans are surprisingly fine with his latest admission. On Twitter, they even came to the actor's defense after some news outlets tried painting Pascal in a bad light.

To them, it doesn't really matter if Pascal is physically present during filming as long as he lends his voice to the famed bounty hunter. Check out some of the reactions below:

Hopefully though, Pascal would actually be more involved in the upcoming season because let's face it, it's still a different experience as a viewer knowing that it's actually him under that beskar helmet.

All three seasons of The Mandalorian are available to stream on Disney+.
