Warning: If you haven't seen The Mandalorian Season 3's finale, this article contains MAJOR SPOILERS so read at your own risk!

Fans have been complaining about The Mandalorian treating Din Djarin and Grogu as side characters in their own show but Season 3's finally just redeemed itself. While Chapter 24 was given a short runtime, clocking in at only 38 minutes, it finally put the spotlight on the dynamic duo.

Titled "The Return", this season's finale saw the Mandalorians finally reclaim their homeland after overcoming Moff Gideon and his Imperial forces. It also pretty much sealed Grogu's fate who has now become an official Mandalorian apprentice.

Earlier episodes established Grogu's status as a foundling but after the battle with Moff Gideon, Din insisted that the Child must be added to the song and become recognized as an apprentice.

The Armorer initially declines Din's request, pointing out that Grogu is still too young to take the Creed. Mando then makes his intentions clear that he wants to formally adopt Grogu and allow him to walk the Mandalorian way.

The Child then becomes rechristened as "Din Grogu" with Mando officially being recognized as his father moving forward.

The Book of Boba Fett pretty much solidified that Grogu intends to choose a different path and after he decided to abandon what would later become Luke Skywalker's Jedi Academy, we already knew that Grogu would become a Mandalorian sooner or later.

Still, it feels quite rewarding to see the once-innocent Child slowly realize his destiny. Now, we can't wait to see his next adventure with Din.

All episodes of The Mandalorian Season 3 are now streaming on Disney+.
