We can all agree that The Mandalorian Season 3's sixth episode is the show's quirkiest entry yet, thanks to the surprising involvement of Lizzo and Jack Black who gave viewers a breath of fresh air amidst all the tension. Of course, it wasn't everyone's cup of tea but setting aside all the weirdness, Chapter 22 was still a pretty solid episode that even had a special callback to the first season.

In "Guns for Hire", Din Djarin, Grogu, and Bo-Katan Kryze travel to Plazir-15, a planet where Bo's ex-Mandalorian comrades are operating as mercenaries, serving the Duchess (Lizzo) and Captain Bombardier (Black). In an attempt to convince her group to join them in bringing Mandalore back to its former glory, Mando and Din take on a task from Plazir's rulers — putting a stop to the planet's droid problem.

To get to the bottom of the droid malfunction, the duo heads over to Plazir's lower level to meet with Ugnaughts who are considered droid specialists. The creatures led by Saifir were initially uninterested in helping them but when Mando tells them his connection to Kuiil, an Ugnaught who was a pivotal character in Season 1, they were convinced to give Din and Mando all the information they need.

Some of you may have already forgotten about him, but Kuiil was an integral part of the show's inaugural season. Making appearances in three episodes, the character was shot dead by troopers in Chapter 7 after attempting to save Grogu. Chapter 22's little nod to the character was not only an awesome callback but also a touching tribute to a long-forgotten character.

The latest episode of The Mandalorian Season 3 is now streaming on Disney+.
