We reported earlier this week that aside from Ahsoka Tano, The Mandalorian's new episode could feature a return from one of the Star Wars franchise's OG characters but after seeing Chapter 13: "The Jedi", that apparently wasn't the case and I believe that was the best move.

In our previous report, we said that Reddit user TheMediocreCritic speculated that Chapter 13 would feature an appearance not only from Ahsoka Tano but from Luke Skywalker himself whom they would find in Dagobah. I hate to break it to you but Mark Hamill wasn't in the episode but it's not like he needed to be there anyway. Also, the Dagobah theory has officially been debunked by the latest episode as the action took place on the planet Corvus where Tano has been lurking.

As much as it would've been a treat to see Hamill back, I personally think it would've been unnecessary to add him to the mix. Chances are Luke's potential cameo could've overshadowed the live-action debut of Tano and quite frankly, the sole spotlight should be shining on her and not anyone else so I'm glad things went according to plan.

However, Ahsoka did tease that Mando and Grogu (Baby Yoda's official name) might encounter a living Jedi on their next rendezvous so the chance of Luke Skywalker making a surprise appearance on The Mandalorian is still pretty considerable. Let's just see what happens next.

Chapter 13 of The Mandalorian is now streaming on Disney+.
