It's no secret to most of you that The Mandalorian's third season experienced major setbacks over the course of its production, with the main issue being Pedro Pascal's tricky work schedule.
When the Din Djarin actor landed the role of Joel in HBO's The Last of Us, filming for the show coincided with The Mandalorian's production. Pascal's packed schedule just didn't allow him to be physically present for most of Season 3's production.
Fortunately for Lucasfilm, given how Pedro's Star Wars character was mostly in his suit, it made things easier for The Mandalorian's creatives to work around what they had. That's not to say though that it didn't have major repercussions and drawbacks for the beloved show.
Turns out, Pascal wasn't the only actor who was barely on set during Season 3's filming. In an interview with Kristian Harloff, Katee Sackhoff revealed that Mercedes Varnado, who plays Koska Reeves in the show wasn't also physically present for most of the show's production.
She shared: "She wasn’t physically as Mercedes as she wasn’t available a lot that’s why there’s of stuff with her this season that is also her stunt double because she just wasn’t available."
For the uninitated, Mercedes is a full-time professional wrestler and much like Pascal, her grueling schedule just didn't permit her to show up on set.

Well, at least Koska was actually seen helmetless in the series and the same thing can't be said about Din. Hopefully, this doesn't become a recurring issue in future seasons of the show.
As for Mercedes' MandoVerse future, the multi-time wrestling champion recently expressed her desire to live in Japan where she currently performs. Should that happen, it will obviously hurt her chances of ever returning to the Star Wars franchise.
