The threat is looming in the horizon as a new promo drops for The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power teasing the arrival of Sauron with a spine-chilling narration from Galadriel, keeping up the hype for the upcoming series on Amazon Prime Video.

In a new promo for the much-anticipated The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, Galadriel speaks in the background as it teases a looming threat within Middle-Earth, "The enemy does not sleep. It waits. A dark and cunning sorcerer. He has not one name, but many. We knew him as Sauron."

In the books of J.R.R. Tolkien, Sauron is the main villain of the story, the one who created the One Ring. This remains the same in Peter Jackson's trilogy of Lord of The Rings and The Hobbit, which is, by the way, both titles are now under Embracer Group who just got the IP rights to Tolkien's works.

The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power will uncover the Second Age of Middle-earth which is set thousands of years before the trilogy. It will focus on the Rings of Power being forged and what happened after it, how Sauron disguised himself as Annatar, the Lord of Gifts.
