The LEGO Movie 2 International Trailer Offers Lots of New Footage

Aladdin and Hellboy may be having huge reveals this week, and The LEGO Movie 2 is joining in on the hype. Just now, WB has released an International trailer for the film, and it gives us a lot of new footage from the movie.

Unlike the other trailers which give us a look at a Mad Max-style wasteland, this trailer looks to start where the last movie ended—with the DUPLO arriving before they wreaked chaos over the regular LEGO city. You'll even notice that President Business is also included despite Will Ferrell not being listed in the cast.

We also get more of Rex Dangervest, another character who is voiced by Chris Pratt. What's funny is, he looks to be an amalgamation of all of Pratt's famous roles from Star-Lord to Owen from Jurassic World. I'd be absolutely floored if they referenced his time in Parks and Recreation in any way.

It's been five years since everything was awesome and the citizens are facing a huge new threat: LEGO DUPLO® invaders from outer space, wrecking everything faster than they can rebuild. The battle to defeat them and restore harmony to the LEGO universe will take Emmet, Lucy, Batman and their friends to faraway, unexplored worlds, including a strange galaxy where everything is a musical. It will test their courage, creativity and Master Building skills, and reveal just how special they really are.

Catch The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part in theaters Feb. 8, 2019.
