Yesterday we got our first look at the second season of Netflix's Big Mouth, and now a new teaser has been released showing Nick and friends being tormented by the hormone monsters who have grown more powerful than ever.
Judging by the nature of the teaser, it looks like the animation was made solely for the preview. Though the show gets wacky at times, it's ultimately falls on the ‘slice of life' genre where we follow a bunch of preteens struggling with adolescence and their changing bodies.
If you ask me, the hormone monsters in the show can be quite bothersome, but they are ultimately friends of each of the kids. After all, they just want the kids to follow their basic instincts, so it wouldn't make sense for them to try and terrorize the children like they do in the trailer.
I'll admit, I wasn't a fan of Big Mouth when I first saw it, but by the end of the first episode, I could say that I was hooked. Besides the great humor, the show actually tackles a lot of real-life issues involving growing up, and I could imagine a lot of young kids who could find something to relate about with Nick and his friends.
Big Mouth 2 comes to Netflix Oct. 5.
