The Glory actress Lim Ji Yeon revealed how she worked hard on perfectly portraying her first antagonistic role, Park Yeon Jin.
The Song Hye Kyo-led Kdrama brought another jaw-dropping revenge story to fans. Unlike the usual Kdramas, The Glory explored the life of a high school student who became a victim of high school bullying and school violence.
Even after the drama ended, many Kdrama fans still remember Lim Ji Yeon's unmatched acting as Park Yeon Jin.

The Glory Lim Ji Yeon Says She Wanted Everyone To Hate Park Yeon Jin
In an interview with The Korea Times Friday, Lim Ji Yeon told the publication that she wanted the whole world to hate her when she played the antagonist role.
"When I take on a role for a project, I try to make viewers love and relate to my character," she said. "But I've never had to develop a character to be hated. And there was a catharsis that came from it."
The 32-year-old star opened up about how she badly wanted to become part of the series she convinced the director and writer to take her.

In the past years, Lim Ji Yeon notably played main and supporting roles. Her The Glory role marked her first antagonist role in her whole career.
According to Lim Ji Yeon, she always dreamed of playing an antagonist role. She said she might have one once she reached her 40s and garnered more experience. Despite feeling nervous, the actress assured the director and writer that she would do her best and could do the role.
How Lim Ji Yeon Prepared Herself To Play the Role
As Lim Ji Yeon continues to get more attention even after the series ended, she shared how she was able to create Park Yeon Jin.
"I tried to come up with as many approaches as possible, like 'would talking in a monotone convey a stronger character?' or 'maybe I should make it totally emotional, or act mentally ill?' But in the end, the most unique approach, that no one else has done yet, was just being myself," the actress said.
She soon decided to unleash the character in herself by making use of her own tone, style, and gestures.
Lim Ji Yeon's character played a critical role in The Glory. Per the actress, the more people hate her character, the more they can find Song Hye Kyo's revenge convincing.
