The Flash to Start Shooting This Fall

The Flash movie may have been in development hell for a while, but the film is finally moving forward with IT director Andy Muschietti. Just in, we may have a tentative production date for the film.

According to Geek Vibes Nation, The Flash is looking to start rolling cameras this September, with an intention to wrap sometime around January/February. Here's the post:

We have no idea about the main plot of the movie yet, but we do know that the film will definitely be deriving plot points from the Flashpoint Paradox in which Barry accidentally creates a chaotic alternate timeline in an attempt to save his mother from being murdered. In this alternate timeline, Atlantis and the Amazons are at war, Superman is a government prisoner, and Bruce Wayne was killed in Crime Alley, leaving his father, Thomas Wayne, to become the Batman.

Personally, I think that the story deserves a Justice League-level team-up, but when it comes to the Flash solo film, I can imagine that they're going to play with the same beats, but only show us the alternate world from a smaller scale.

We don't know who could make a cameo in this movie, but some are already hoping that Jeffrey Dean Morgan plays the part of Batman. I'm also crossing my fingers that Ray Fisher's Cyborg makes an appearance because I'm seriously annoyed that most of his character arc was cut from the theatrical Justice League.

For now, The Flash is aiming for a release on July 1, 2022.
