A lot of DC fans have been looking forward to The Flash. Not only because it will feature the highly-anticipated return of Michael Keaton as Batman, but it is also getting positive buzz for weeks now based on its early screenings.

Andy Muschietti, who directed the film, has been cited as one of the reasons why it held up on its quality and now some fans are starting to wonder whether they will recruit him as well to be part of the new DCU franchise.

During an early screening of The Flash in Toronto, Muschietti was asked by journalist Josh K. Elliott about what his take on Batman would look like if he ends up directing The Brave and the Bold for DC Studios.

The director played coy in his response by dodging the question and insisted that he is not allowed to talk about his potential involvement in the project yet.

"I don't think I can talk to that yet," he simply said.

Muschietti's response garnered a lot of interest from fans since instead of giving a hypothetical response or simply shooting down the question, he responded by saying that he is not yet allowed to discuss his potential involvement.

This suggests that the director might actually be currently in talks to helm the film and, if he is in negotiations at the moment, he might want to avoid jeopardizing the chance.

If Muschietti does end up directing DCU's The Brave and the Bold, he is certainly a great choice to helm the project. Not only because of his work on The Flash, but he has experience directing a film that has Batman (with two no less) which shoots him up to the top of the list.

A lot of fans wouldn't also mind the idea of seeing him direct the DCU's Batman movie based on his impressive resume. If The Flash is indeed as good as what the buzz said, there might be more clamoring for him to helm the project.

For now, let's wait and see whether this ends up being true. We should be hearing more updates about this once The Flash releases to the public and we have a consensus on the work that Muschietti did with the DC film.
