The Falcon and the Winter Soldier finally revealed the identity of the mysterious Power Broker and for the second time around, Marvel conspiracists got a theory right as Sharon Carter pretty much confirmed to the world (or the viewers, at least) that she was the one responsible for the recreation of the super-soldier serum which the Flag Smashers used to their advantage.

Carter made it clear why she ended up in the position she's in right now and it has a lot to do with getting revenge against the U.S. government. But hold your horses as that wasn't the only revelation made about Agent Carter during the finale. In Episode 6's mid-credits scene, Sharon was offered by the Senator to return to her previous job and was even offered a full pardon.

An offer as grand as that would be hard to refuse so naturally, Sharon accepted it. Following her conference with the U.S. government, we would later see Sharon talking to an unidentified person and they discussed Sharon's new role and the fact that she can now gain full access to government secrets, prototype weapons, and other confidential materials. However, the series ended with yet another cliffhanger and we didn't get to know the person Sharon was talking to.

Who was Sharon Carter talking to in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier's Credits Scene?

While we didn't really get any clues regarding the identity of the mystery character, it's safe to assume that Carter was actually talking to La Contessa Valentina Allegra de la Fontaine who was previously introduced in Episode 5. The character would also make a brief appearance in the finale as she finally solidified her alliance with former Captain America John Walker who now goes by the moniker U.S. Agent.

There's also the possibility that Baron Zemo could also be involved in Sharon's shady dealings but considering he's currently imprisoned in the raft and his clear disdain of the Flag Smashers whom the Power Broker was working closely with, he's certainly out of the conversation, for now, at least.
