Warning: if you haven't seen Episode 5 of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier yet, this news contains major spoilers so read at your own risk.

Marvel fans and avid viewers of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier have been intrigued by the true identity of the Power Broker and despite the fact that we're down to the last two episodes of the series, it's quite surprising that we've yet to uncover the person behind the mysterious character who was responsible for the resurgence of the super-soldier serum and presumably, the formation of the Flag Smashers.

If you've been keeping up with the series, you know very well that there's been an ongoing theory that Sharon Carter is actually the one behind the Power Broker persona and given her suspicious connections and authority, it isn't too farfetched to believe that she's in fact operating in Madripoor as the influential villain.

Now, Episode 5 is once again dropping more signs that the former Agent 13 could actually be the Power Broker. In one of the scenes from the latest episode, Sharon is seen talking with Batroc the Leaper over the phone and shockingly enough, the two are apparently working together. Later in the episode, Batroc meets up with Karli Morgenthau to hand her a case filled with weapons and he makes it clear that he's not through with Sam Wilson.

While it doesn't exactly confirm whether or not she's the Power Broker, it's crystal clear that Sharon is shockingly working with the bad guys which is still a bit intriguing, to say the least. But it's safe to assume that Carter turned to a life of villainy after she was done dirty by the government and the previous episodes of the series even focused on her resentment towards her former allies and there's no doubt that she has revenge on her mind.

The latest episode of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier is now streaming on Disney+.
