Apple TV+ has just released its new romantic comedy action film, Ghosted. The film is about a boy who falls in love with a girl after one date and finds himself ghosted after.

The movie stars Chris Evans as Cole Turner and Ana de Armas as Sadie Rhodes. They meet at the farmer’s market when Sadie decides to buy a plant. They get off the wrong foot because Cole didn’t want to sell her the plant for fear that she wouldn’t take care of it.

Sadie leaves, but then Cole decides to go after her to get to know her more. Sadie agrees to go out with him, and they spend a whole day together. Cole instantly falls for her, and when he gets home, he tells his family that “she might be the one”.

However, all his texts go unanswered, and his family suggests that he has been ghosted. Determined to find answers and do a romantic gesture, Cole decides to go after Sadie in London.

But things did not turn out the way he planned as Cole discovers that Sadie actually works for the CIA. In his attempts to pursue the secret agent Sadie, Cole finds himself caught up in an international espionage ring.

Apart from the romance in the film, Ghosted is centered on “Aztec”, a biochemical weapon that Sadie Rhodes had to retrieve in order to save the world. The weapon could wipe out the Eastern Seaboard and potentially the world. It was stolen from the US government, but it couldn’t be used without a passcode.

Throughout the film, the Aztec falls into the hands of different characters. At some point in the film, the Aztec was with Sadie and Cole, but Wagner and his men follow them onto the island and steal the Aztec from them.

Sadie and Cole are rescued by the CIA, but the agency no longer trusts Sadie to do the job and temporarily suspends her. However, the agents agree to use Cole as bait because Leveque believes that he is the Taxman.

A meeting is arranged with Leveque at the Skydome restaurant. Cole believes that Sadie wouldn’t leave him even though she has been suspended. So he stalls Leveque and his client Utami.

When Sadie arrives with a grand entrance, she takes over and reveals that she is the real Taxman.

Sadie further demands ten million dollars in exchange for the rest of the passcode. As soon as Sadie opens the case, Utami wires her the money. Sadie then says that it has been a pleasure doing business, but Leveque tells her that his business with them isn’t finished yet.

When Leveque asks if she really thinks he would let her and Cole leave alive, Sadie reveals that she’s already placed a 10-million-dollar bounty on Leveque’s head. Subsequently, chaos happens.

Both Sadie and Cole get caught up in the middle of gunfire. And during all the action, Ryan Reynolds appears in a comedic cameo where he’s revealed to be Jonas, a past lover of Sadie’s. He confesses that he misses her but Sadie says that it was never going to work between them.

Subsequently, the Aztec falls into Leveque’s hands, but Cole and Sadie quickly take it from him. Leveque then falls out of the restaurant’s glass window. He falls from a really high building and the walls were spinning at that time, so it’s safe to say that he doesn’t survive the fall.

Cole and Sadie are finally free from Leveque and they declare their love for each other. Cole says she looks amazing in her dress while Sadie says he should wear more suits. They then seal things with a kiss.

While Cole and Sadie have been through so many obstacles and lies, in the end, they decide to pursue a relationship.

Cole introduces Sadie to his family and they have a meal together. Cole also starts researching for his book while Sadie continues being an agent, but she now has both a professional and personal life.

Currently, there’s no confirmation if the film will have a sequel. Although if a second movie will happen, it would probably focus on Sadie and Cole’s new chapter and reveal more of Sadie’s past.
