The Crown Season 6 has long been anticipated by loyal watchers of the dramatization of Queen Elizabeth II's reign.

Not to mention, since the final season is planning on focusing on the Queen's most turbulent lows in her ruling, the sixth season has been told to tell the story of how Princess Diana died.

The story behind The Crown Season 6 has been said to be divided into the events of the late 1990s and early 2000s.

Considering that the official trailer of Part 1 of Season 6 includes Princess Diana supposedly getting a message to come to Paris, the next season will cover her car accident on August 31, 1997.

Although there aren't details yet on how they plan on depicting the Princess' death, The Crown star Elizabeth Debicki confirmed that the car crash would not be included in the storytelling.

The Crown showrunner added in an interview with Deadline that Season 6 focuses on Princess Diana's final days and the effect of her death. It will, however, show how Prince William met and married Kate Middleton.
