The Crown Season 6 will be the final season of the critically acclaimed Netflix series about the royal family.

As this will be the last time fans see the fictionalized version of the British monarchy, four past major cast members may return for cameo scenes.

It has been a norm for the series to feature previous cast members for a cameo scene. So, it's not far that the same thing may happen again in The Crown Season 6.

Four Major Characters Who May Be Seen in Cameos in The Crown Season 6

The show has been known for following a unique casting approach when switching its main cast every two seasons.

That said, this move allows the show to feature important cameos from the previous seasons' stars in The Crown Season 6.

As the final season will cover Princess Diana and Princess Margaret's deaths, it may take a look back at these characters and feature the previous actors who played these roles earlier.

Hence, Emma Corrin and Helena Bonham Carter, who played Princess Diana and Princess Margaret in the third and fourth seasons, may return for cameo appearances, per Screen Rant.

As the characters of Princess Margaret and Princess Diana are closely tied to Queen Elizabeth and Princess Charles, likely, Olivia Colman and Tobias Menzies will also return to reprise their previous roles.

However, fans should only take these assumptions with a grain of salt, as nothing is confirmed yet.

The Crown Season 6's Release Window

Netflix has formally announced the release window for The Crown Season 6.

Chief content officer Bela Bajaria revealed the show's fall 2023 release date at the streaming giant's virtual Upfront presentation Wednesday, May 17, via The Wrap.

The historical drama series, which is now in production, will feature the modern times and focus on the younger generation of the royal family as they begin to build their own lives.

This time, fans will see younger versions of Prince William and Kate Middleton, played by Ed McVey and Meg Bellamy, respectively.

The Crown Season 6 will see their first meeting at St. Andrew's campus, where their romance will eventually begin, resulting in a historic 2011 marriage.

According to Collider, this will be the closest current events coverage the show will feature within the monarchy.

Netflix has released its first images of the two stars who will play as the Princes and Princess of Wales.
