The Crow Reboot Gets Delayed Again After Losing Jason Momoa and Corin Hardy

It looks like the reboot of The Crow won't be taking flight after all, as the film has lost leading star Jason Momoa and director Corin Hardy. This is awfully surprising since Sony announced that the film would be coming out sometime next year and now, that doesn't seem likely. As it stands, this movie is once again in production hell.

According to Deadline, the delay was due to creative and financial differences with Davis Films' Samuel Hadidia, whose company is financing the film. Hadida supposedly could not close a deal with Sony, who was supposed to distribute the film worldwide, which resulted in the company and its stars leaving.

Fans have had mixed feelings about a reboot/remake of The Crow, so some of them might be happy that it is delayed again. Those who've seen the original movie have fond memories of it and were saddened about Brandon Lee's death during the film's production. Lee's death is the main reason why fans don't want a remake and it looks like they might be getting their wish.

No matter how you felt about it, the cancellation is a bit of a downer for those involved in the making of the film. Momoa showed some excitement for the role but now that's all down the drain.

Don't expect The Crow to make its October 11, 2019, release date.
