The Concierge at Hokkyoku Department Store Unveils Full Trailer
The Concierge at Hokkyoku Department Store is an anime film by Production I.G that’s based on an award-winning manga.
While it has been announced a few months ago, it is only now that it got a full trailer that features a more in-depth look at what to expect. You can watch the trailer here:
This film follows Akino, a new concierge at an unusual department store where all its shoppers are animals.
Aside from the interesting story, the film’s trailer also showcases the movie’s unique art style that’s wildly different from the studio’s other works.
The trailer also reveals the film’s theme song Gift from Myuk, a Japanese singer whom anime fans may know as the performer of The Promised Neverland Season 2’s ending song.

The Concierge Anime Film Confirms Release Date
What also makes the film exciting is its cast. Specifically, the movie stars a wide array of well-known anime VAs, including:
- Natsumi Kawaida (Asami Yuuki in Higehiro) as Akino
- Takeo Otsuka (Aqua Hoshino in Oshi no Ko) as Eruru
- Nobuo Tobita (Zetsu in Naruto) as Todo
- Megumi Han (Gon Freecss in Hunter x Hunter) as Mori
- Natsumi Fujiwara (Young Megumi in Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2) as Iwase
- Eiji Yoshitomi as Maruki
- Jun Fukuyama (Lelouch Lamperouge in Code Geass) as the Maître d'
- Yuichi Nakamura (Gray Fullbuster in Fairy Tail) as Tokiwa
- Kenjiro Tsuda (Kishibe in Chainsaw Man) as Wally
- Kana Hanazawa (Mitsuri Kanroji in Demon Slayer) as Female Japanese Wolf
- Ayumu Murase (Shoyo Hinata in Haikyuu!!) as Barbary Lion
As for its staff, the movie is directed by Yoshimi Itazu. This film will be his directorial debut.
Joining him is Satomi Ooshima as the scriptwriter, with Tofubeats handling musical composition.
The Concierge at Hokkyoku Department Store will be released in Japan on October 20, 2023. For now, there’s no word yet on international release plans.
