The Cloverfield Paradox Trailer is Ridiculously Intense

Fans were expecting plenty of trailers for the Superbowl, so when The Cloverfield Paradox was shown it was a nice but somewhat expected surprise. What no one expected was that the film would be showing on that same night on Netflix. Unlike 10 Cloverfield Lane, which was kind of a spinoff with very few references to the original, this looks to be a true prequel/sequel to the first Cloverfield.

Starting with footage from the first film, we soon get a ton of new scenes that really delve into the sci-fi. The trailer promises that we will know the origin of the monster from the first film but we also see a decapitated hand moving by itself, so this could be a really crazy movie. We shouldn't expect anything less.

Aside from The Cloverfield Paradox, viewers that haven't seen the original will be happy to know that the first Cloverfield is also available on Netflix. Released back in 2008, it revolved around a group of young adults who are caught in the midst of the monster's attack. Using the found footage format, it was effective, though the logic about constantly filming the events is a bit flimsy.

The Cloverfield Paradox is now showing on Netflix.
