There is little doubt that everyone is already waiting for The Boys Season 2. After all, people can't wait to find out what happened to Billy Butcher and the rest of the gang after the explosive Season 1 finale. Luckily, it looks like the long wait will soon be able. Eric Kripke has just teased the show's return on Amazon Prime.

Kripke took to his official Twitter account to share a photo of himself along with the main cast. Check it out below.

"I get asked a lot, so #TheBoysTV update: finishing #Season2 remotely. Still some VFX & sound to do, but we're SO CLOSE! Airdate (& other cool shit) will be announced SOON!" Kripke wrote before adding the hashtags #TheBoys and #SPNFamily (he's the creator of Supernatural). He also tagged executive producer Seth Rogen as well as actors Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, Antony Starr, and Erin Moriarty.

It is important to remember that filming for The Boys Season 2 has already wrapped and the crew is now just working on the post-production. This means that the series could have been completely finished if the crew weren't forced to adhere to the mandatory self-quarantining due to COVID-19. Nevertheless, it sounds like although progress is slow, Kripke and his team could soon be ready with the first trailer for the second season.

The Boys Season 2 has not yet been given an official release date. However, it is already expected to air on Amazon Prime this summer.
