The Boys Season 2 Releases Billy Butcher Short Film

We only need to wait one more day before the next episode of The Boys Season 2. However, the series wants to make sure that fans are still hyped up and has released an unexpected short film that reveals what Billy Butcher has been up to all this time.

The premiere episode of The Boys Season 2 featured Hughie, Mother's Milk, Frenchie, and Kimiko hiding out as they discover that they are wanted fugitives. It isn't until the unfortunate death of Susan Raynor that they are forced to contact Butcher for help. But what was Butcher doing while he was being framed for Madelyn Stillwell's murder? The deleted scene titled BUTCHER: A Short Film reveals his activities.

The short was posted by The Boys' official Twitter account and although it's only five minutes, it pretty much explains how Butcher ended up meeting with the rest of the team in an awful tracksuit. Check it out below.

It's unclear why Amazon decided to leave this scene out of the premiere episode but it does make sense considering that there was a certain urgency in The Big Ride. After all, there's a superpowered terrorist on the loose, and Butcher's whereabouts wasn't particularly essential to the storyline. Nevertheless, it's awesome to see Karl Urban in action again.

The first three episodes of The Boys Season 2 were released last week but only the fourth episode will premiere this Friday. The new episode is titled Nothing Like It In The World and will air on Amazon Prime on September 11.
