The Boys Plot Twist Hinted At Season 2 Departing From Comics Storyline [SPOILERS]

There is little doubt that The Boys is getting a second season and it looks like things are going to be infinitely different in the Amazon Prime series. After all, the show has just concluded with a major plot twist that suggests it is taking an unexpected direction that will take it away from the comic book storyline.

WARNING: Major The Boys Season 1 spoilers ahead, proceed with caution.

Early on in the series, it was revealed that Billy Butcher's wife Becca was raped by Homelander. However, she somehow disappeared and was presumed dead. Interestingly, Homelander eventually finds out that Becca had become pregnant with his child although Vought forced her to give birth to the baby in a secret location. Becca's fate was supposed to be clear as Homelander was told both mother and child were killed by the birth.

However, things changed in the season finale You Found Me when Homelander and Butcher face off. Butcher tries and fails to blow up the superhero as he himself is knocked unconscious. When he awakens, Butcher discovers that Homelander has flown him to the secret location where Becca has been raising her superpowered son.

It's a shocking discovery for everyone including comic book fans who have always known Becca was killed in childbirth (Butcher would then kill the child). The revelation of Becca and her son's survival certainly changes Butcher's story, hinting at The Boys Season 2 possibly giving Becca a strange new story.
