The Book of Boba Fett: Temuera Morrison Opens up About Returning to Star Wars After 20 Years

Temuera Morrison might not be the most famous Star Wars actor but he's the one who played the most characters in the live-action Star Wars projects. After all, he was first introduced in Attack of the Clones as Jango Fett where he also played all the Clone Troopers. 20 years later, Morrison returned as Jango's unaltered clone Boba Fett and it's a role he admits means a lot to him.

We first got to see Temuera Morrison as Boba Fett in The Mandalorian Season 2 before the character got his own spin-off series. So what did the Aquaman actor hope to do with the new role? Morrison told Entertainment Weekly that he was surprisingly more relaxed in his approach to playing the younger Fett.

"I just wanted to be better and do the best work I could ever imagine possibly doing and bring everything I can, a little bit of spirit," he said. Morrison then shared what it was like working on Attack of the Clones.

"I think back in the day I didn't know what I was doing. It was 20 years ago when I was doing Jango Fett, and I got carried away with wearing the armor and having so much fun and getting to work with George Lucas on those enormous sets," he said. "I think I had too much fun, so this time I'm a little bit more experienced."

We can't really blame Temuera Morrison for having too much fun on the Star Wars prequel films. However, it's also great to know that he had learned from his past experiences and delivered an awesome performance in The Book of Boba Fett. Hopefully, we'll get to see Morrison play more Star Wars characters in the future.

Morrison returns in The Book of Boba Fett Episode 3, which premieres on Disney+ on Wednesday, January 12, 2022.
