Continuing the MandoVerse's tradition of bringing in characters from the Star Wars animated universe, The Book of Boba Fett marked the live-action debut of arguably one of the franchise's most notorious and menacing villains. During the closing moments of the episode, the returning Cobb Vanth was confronted by a mysterious figure later revealed as Star Wars: The Clone Wars baddie Cad Bane in Mos Pelgo now known as Freetown.

Bane, known as one of the most threatening bounty hunters in Star Wars lore may have made a brief appearance but he sure left an emphatic statement in his first live-action appearance, taking out Freetown's deputy and Vanth in the process after the Marshal seemingly refused to take his offer not to interfere in the Pyke war.

Dave Filoni, who directed Chapter 6 continues to prove that he truly understands the assignment and there's a reason why he was tasked to lead the MandoVerse along with Jon Favreau. Now, we still don't know what Bane's true motive is but his grand arrival to the live-action universe spells trouble for Boba and Fennec, who successfully persuaded Mando to join their team.

The Book of Boba Fett Chapter 6 is now streaming exclusively on Disney+.
