The Batman Star Robert Pattinson Shows Enthusiasm for Zoe Kravitz Playing Catwoman

It was recently announced that Zoe Kravitz would be playing Selina Kyle aka Catwoman in Matt Reeves' The Batman, which got a lot of people excited. After all, she's a talented and beautiful actress, which is basically all you need to play the character. Unfortunately, there are trolls who are already making a dumb commotion about this due to her race, even though two black women have played Catwoman in the past.

One was Eartha Kitt in Batman ‘66 and the other was Halle Berry, who was sadly in a terrible movie but that had nothing to do with her race.

Thankfully, lead star Robert Pattinson isn't one of those annoying alt-right jerks and actually has good things to say. He is much more positive about Kravitz's casting since he's been friends with her for 10 years. It's always cool seeing Batman stand up for Catwoman after all.

"Yes! Zoe's great and I've known her for years and years and years. I mean, I've been friends with her for like ten years and she's brilliant," shared the future young Batman actor.

Considering how many movies she has been in, one would think that fans would have a higher perception of the actress. Sadly, racists who somehow enjoy comic books will always be a thing and they can never be pleased. Granted, entertainment shouldn't even be catered to these idiots but they find a way to be a part of the conversation.

The Batman is slated for June 25, 2021.
