The Batman just began production today and it looks like fans are all hyped for the upcoming DC movie.
Matt Reeves took to Twitter today to kick off the production of The Batman by sharing a picture of the director's slate that he's using on the set of the highly anticipated comic book movie. The tweet instantly became viral – everyone's eager to see what The Batman star Robert Pattinson might look like as the Dark Knight.
Now, it looks like The Batman is trending on Twitter.

There hasn't been that much news about The Batman as of late, however, word broke out today that fans finally have confirmation on who Peter Sarsgaard and Jayme Lawson are playing in the upcoming DC movie. According to the most recent report, Sarsgaard is set to play Gotham District Attorney Gil Colson. Lawson, on the other hand, is playing mayoral candidate Bella Real. There isn't any sort of indication what kind of role these characters might play in the film and how significant they'll actually be in the movie, however, there are some who speculate that the two won't last in The Batman for that long.
Sarsgaard and Lawson are going to play alongside Robert Pattinson who is set to play Bruce Wayne, Zoe Kravitz who is set to play Selina Kyle/Catwoman, Paul Dano who is going to play Riddler, and Jeffery Wright who's set to play James Gordon. We can't wait to see individual set photos of all these different characters.
The Batman is set to release on June 25, 2021.
