The Batman Filming in Gothic Cathedral

Matt Reeves has been busy working on The Batman the past few weeks, and while production brought the film to work on its principal photography in Panama, it looks like the movie has moved on to film in more gothic-looking places.

According to ComicBook.com, DC has just revealed a brand new filming location for The Batman, announcing Glasgow Cathedral as one of the places being shot at for the upcoming comic book movie. We're not quite sure what kind of scenes Reeves is filming at Glasgow, but it seems like the city council is taking the shoot pretty seriously.

"Roads affected and dates and times of restriction applying to all vehicles with the exception of an emergency service vehicle carrying out an emergency response or vehicles given permission from Glasgow City Council Filming and Events section," said the Glasgow City Council in a statement.

The Glasgow Cathedral does have a pretty dark look to it – it makes sense for Reeves to want to shoot inside or outside the church. We can only wonder what kind of scenes Reeves may want to shoot around the cathedral, thought it likely has to do something with Robert Pattinson's Batman.

In other Batman news, camera test footage for the movie just recently made its way online featuring Pattinson in his new Batsuit. There's a whole lot of excitement building up over Battinson and we can't wait to see the film either.

The Batman is set to premiere on August 6, 2021.
