We already know that the Joker is in The Batman although his scene is with Edward Nashton and not Bruce Wayne. However, it looks like the film almost featured another scene where the Clown Prince of Crime confirms his surprising connection to the Dark Knight!

Matt Reeves has already spoken about a deleted scene from The Batman where the Joker is featured. Although the details about the scene were not immediately revealed, the director stated that it is another sequence set in Arkham Asylum.

So what happens in The Batman's Joker deleted scene? Matt Reeves finally shared some interesting details with Cinemablend and the dialogue strongly suggests a past connection between Barry Keoghan's character and Robert Pattinson's Caped Crusader.

"Well, you know, the unseen prisoner is one of the characters that he would’ve confronted in Year 1, and that’s how he ended up there. So they have a relationship," Reeves said. He then shared some of the dialogue where the Joker teases Batman.

"One of the lines from the scene that’s not it is, that unseen prisoner says to him ‘It’s almost our anniversary, isn’t it?’ And you realize that they have a relationship that exists before that character, who is the character that you think he is, before that character becomes that character," Reeves said.

He continued by stating that the Joker isn't quite Joker yet but he is someone that Batman knows too well.

"He hasn’t yet declared himself that character, but they have a relationship that begins very, very early, and…they’re sort of intertwined with each other in a very specific way," Reeves said.

It's a bit disappointing to know that The Batman has a deleted scene like this one but there is a huge possibility that we'll see more of the Joker in the future.

The Batman is now screening in theaters worldwide.
