Bad Batch Friday is finally here and the latest episode of the Star Wars series didn't waste time in getting straight into the action. Amazingly, Episode 14 had an awesome tease at the future of the Clone Troopers. In addition to that, War-Mantle gave fans the reunion they have been waiting for for a long time.
WATCH OUT! The following contains SPOILERS from Star Wars: The Bad Batch Episode 14! PROCEED WITH CAUTION!
In The Bad Batch Episode 14, a lone Stormtrooper is chased through a forest then captured by his fellow troopers. Not surprisingly, Captain Rex is then shown contacting Clone Force 99 and asking them to retrieve a friend who has sent him a distress signal.
It doesn't take long before Tech traces the signal to the planet Daro. Additionally, it is confirmed that the stormtrooper is actually CC-5576 who is better known as Gregor.
It's not an easy mission and not just because it meant abandoning a job from Cid. Getting Gregor out of a base in the mountains that was built to be impenetrable might be too much for Hunter. Nevertheless, Echo convinces him that it is possible.
The rescue mission is decidedly tough but the Bad Batch manages to find Gregor despite being surrounded by strong new troopers. He then reveals that he had been training these soldiers who will eventually replace the clones.
The team is cornered so they call on Omega and Wrecker, who have stayed behind in their ship. There's a tense stand-off that leads to Hunter falling to the forest floor. He ends up having to order them to leave without him, much to Omega's dismay.
Interestingly, we are brought back to Kamino where Admiral Rampart informs Lama Su that the Empire has canceled their contract. Back in his cell on Daro, Hunter gets a visit from Crosshair.
It's a surprising reunion but one that fans have been hoping for since Crosshair parted ways from his brothers. Needless to say, we can't wait for next week's episode.
