Thanos is 'Totally Satisfied' With His Avengers: Infinity War Actions, Says Josh Brolin

He may have been semi-honorable and kind of a sweetheart to his daughter Gamora (before he killed her anyway) but we can all agree that Thanos is a monster. In Avengers: Infinity War, the Mad Titan made it his mission to wipe out half of the universe as a way to maintain order and save resources, even though he could have used the Reality Stone to make more resources but hey, he didn't do that.

So how does he feel about his monstrous actions that have wiped out half of humanity? Josh Brolin, the veteran actor who portrayed the Marvel villain, says that Thanos is "totally satisfied" with his actions, which isn't a huge surprise. He had a pretty big grin in the film's final shot.

"He's trying to fix the universe. He's trying to balance the cosmos, and by doing that he's having to destroy a lot of things. So there's the warrior Thanos, and then there's the Thanos that you see in the hut. I personally like the hut Thanos because it's much more real. He's perfectly and totally satisfied having accomplished what he set out to do."

Brolin's words were discovered in the Art of Avengers: Infinity War (via Screen Rant), where he went on to explain Thanos' actions, claiming that he is trying to save the universe in his own sick way. Since this is the man who portrayed Thanos and knew the character a bit better than most fans, his answer makes a ton of sense given what the villain did.

Many of us are expecting a lot of Thanos' actions to be undone during Avengers 4, which comes out next year. After all, we know that characters like Spider-Man and Loki will be coming back from the dead, the former starring in a new movie set after the fourth Avengers film, while the latter is supposedly getting a new series on the Disney+ streaming service.

Avengers 4 comes out on May 3, 2019.
