Mellencamp wedded Edwin Arroyave, the CEO of Skyline Security, in 2011. They have three kids, Cruz, Slate, and Dove.

She also has a stepdaughter, Isabella, Arroyave's child from a previous relationship.

She was once married to Matthew James Colbourne Robertson, tying the knot in 2006 and parting ways in 2010.

Teddi Mellencamp's Cancer Diagnosis

Mellencamp was diagnosed with stage II melanoma, a type of skin cancer, in October 2022. Since then, she has had 11 spot removals.

"There was one day I was feeling down, and I said to them, 'Because of mommy's boo-boos, and what happened, I'm not feeling like myself,'" she told E! News.

"'And I want you guys to know I'm OK. I love you so much,'" she continued. "But if I don't seem like myself, it's nothing you've done. It's how I, personally, am doing and feeling, and I just want you guys to know that.'"

Being her real self has helped Mellencamp create a safe space for the whole family.

"Most of my life, I've always put on a brave face and tried to hide my emotions," she stated.

"But the more I share and open up to them, the more they share with me," she added. "They've taught me that. And it makes you build that level of mom trusts us to share her good and bad days; we want to do the same."

Mellencamp has worked with Melanoma Research Foundation for its Get Naked campaign.
