Ted Lasso Season 3 has officially begun, but it’s still a big puzzle to many if it will be the series’ final season. So, will the show end after its last episode airs on May 31?

Ted Lasso Season 3 premiered on March 15 and would end with its 12th episode in May. With 10 more episodes remaining, will it be the last time fans see Ted Lasso (Jason Sudeikis) and the rest of the gang on the small screen?

The Cast’s Words About Ted Lasso Season 3 as the Possible Ending

The cast and even the people behind the show have said time and over again that the series only has a three-season story arc. So, the current season may serve as its final season.

However, Apple TV+ has remained mum about the show’s future, neither confirming it will be its last or another season will come.

"All I know is that the story we wanted to tell and the one that we're telling, that's what we're here tonight to celebrate,” Sudeikis told E! News during the season premiere about the possible final season. “What happens beyond this, I won't know until this is all done."

Hannah Waddingham, who plays the role of Rebecca Welton, also weighed in on the issue, saying she actually had no idea about the show’s ending.

"I think it might be, in terms of an end of a story. But who knows?” she said.

In addition, Nick Mohammed, who portrays Nathan Shelley, claimed that the writers had already said they had “mapped out three-season arcs.”

Lastly, Brendan Hunt, the creator who stars as Coach Beard, simply stated they would “try” making another season.

Will There Be Ted Lasso Season 4?

Style Caster noted that Ted Lasso Season 4 might not happen. Variety claimed the press wasn’t allowed to ask the cast about the fourth season during the premiere as the publicists had stressed that no decision had been made yet.

Co-creator Sudeikis had reiterated that the show’s story would only be told in three seasons.

He told Entertainment Tonight that though the series could go with the flow, the idea was only to do three seasons.

“This is the end of this story that we wanted to tell, that we were hoping to tell, that we loved to tell. The fact that folks will want more and are curious beyond more than what they don’t even know yet—that being Season 3—it’s flattering,” he also told Deadline. Maybe by May 31, once all 12 episodes of the season [have been released], they’re like, ‘Man, you know what, we get it, we’re fine. We don’t need anymore; we got it.’ But until that time comes, I will appreciate the curiosity beyond what we’ve come up with so far.”
