While it was originally set to release back in 2021, the Takt Op. game was delayed a couple of times. Finally though, the upcoming Takt Op. Destiny mobile game is going to be released in late June.
Officially titled takt op. Unmei wa Akaki Senritsu no Machi o, this upcoming smartphone game will be released on Android and iOS two years following its planned launch date.
In fact, it has taken so long that the animated series that was supposed to promote it is now well over a year old.
Takt Op. Destiny: A Unique Anime for Many Reasons
Many anime fans are probably familiar with the anime series. Released in Fall 2021, the anime got attention for its interesting premise, as well as the two studios that collaborated on it.
Specifically, the anime was produced by studios MAPPA and Madhouse, two popular animation studios with a shared history.
Aside from collaborating on Hajime no Ippo: Rising back in 2013, MAPPA’s history is tied to Madhouse.
This is because MAPPA was founded by Masao Maruyama, the renowned anime producer who co-founded Madhouse.
But the anime itself is also interesting in that it is set in the year 2047 when music is banned as it attracts monsters from space called D2s. To fight them, humanity created the Symphonica International Organization.
Members of this organization employ music to combat the D2s. Among them are the main characters, Takt and Destiny.
The anime was supposed to be a complementary piece to the game, but the Takt Op. game was delayed a couple of times.

Takt Op. Destiny Game Release
The game was originally set to launch in 2021, though its release was soon moved to 2022, and it was once again delayed to 2023.
Finally, there are no more delays as takt op. Unmei wa Akaki Senritsu no Machi o will be released in late June.

Because of the delays, Takt Op. is no longer as popular as it was back in late 2021.
But this doesn’t spell the end for its prospects. After all, Uma Musume also suffered a similar fate, but it is now one of the biggest gacha games in Japan.
Based on the promotion for the game, it seems like the Takt Op. Destiny smartphone title will be released only in Japan to start.
Currently, there’s no official word yet on an international release.
