Taika Waititi Promises Thor: Love And Thunder Will Be Wilder Than Ragnarok

Thor: Ragnarok was a pretty wild ride for Marvel fans. The third film in Marvel's franchise featuring everyone's favorite Asgardian God of Thunder, Ragnarok was a funny and colorful cosmic adventure that set a new standard for the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Now that he's set to return to the MCU to helm another Thor movie, Ragnarok director Taika Waititi promises that Thor: Love and Thunder is going to push the envelope even further than the first movie he's made for Marvel.

Speaking in an interview with WIRED, Waititi decided to tease the fanbase, hinting at what they can expect from Love and Thunder.

"It's going to be bigger and louder and more bombastic," Waititi revealed. "It's only interesting to me if we're doubling down on how nuts Ragnarok was."

There's a lot of excitement building up over Love and Thunder. Sure, Chris Hemsworth's Thor Odinson may remain the central character of the movie, but it's also going to feature Natalie Portman's return to the MCU, this time as Jane Foster's version of Mighty Thor.

Fans freaked out when they heard the news that Love and Thunder would include Mighty Thor – no one really expected Foster to return to the MCU, much less become the Mighty Thor. It's going to be interesting seeing how Waititi adapts the Mighty Thor comics in his upcoming film. What role is Odinson going to play now that Marvel has a new Thor? Will Jane Foster become connected to Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson), the Queen of New Asgard?

Let's wait and see.

Thor: Love and Thunder premieres on November 5, 2021.
