Taika Waititi is certainly on a roll. It has only been a few weeks after it was revealed that he would be providing the voice of IG-88 in the Star Wars series The Mandalorian. Now, the Thor: Ragnarok director has been cast in the new Ryan Reynolds movie.

According to Deadline, Waititi and The Mindy Project star Utkarsh Ambudkar are the latest addition in Reynolds' film Free Guy. The Shawn Levy flick has previously confirmed Stranger Things' Joe Keery.

It didn't take long before Waititi confirmed the casting on Twitter. Take a look at his tweet below.

"I guess dreams do come true. FINALLY I get to work with @VancityReynolds for the very first time in my life!! This has never happened before! Wow!" Waititi wrote. Not surprisingly, Reynolds has an amusing response to the post.

"For once, this is the first time we'll be in a movie together for the first time!" Reynolds tweeted. Needless to say, with a cast like this, Free Guy is set to be a truly hilarious film.

It's great to know that Waititi still has time to star in a movie despite his hectic schedule. In addition to providing the voice of IG-88, he will also direct one of the episodes of The Mandalorian. It was also confirmed that Waititi will helm the Time Bandits series, which is based on Terry Gilliam's film. Oh, and he serves as executive producer for the FX show What We Do In The Shadows as well.

Free Guy has not yet been given an official release date.
