Swamp Thing Season 2 Still Possible, Says CW Boss

The cancellation of Swamp Thing after just one season may have been disappointing for fans who were hoping to see more of the DC comic book character. But is it possible that the DC Universe series could eventually get a second season now that it has found a new home? The CW president Mark Pedowitz has teased on the idea of coming up with new episodes in the future.

Pedowitz recently spoke to Comicbook.com where he was asked if people can hope for Swamp Thing Season 2 now that The CW has acquired the rights to broadcast the series. Although the CW boss pointed out that "at the moment, it's just the one season," he also didn't rule out the possibility of continuing with the storyline.

"I do not know if it would come back. Obviously, that would be a discussion for Warner Bros. and the CW. But at this time, Swamp Thing is just the episodes we have," Pedowitz said.

Of course, Pedowitz would still need to discuss the possibility with Warner Bros. but his response is still enough to provide some hope for fans who feel that the series should get another season. In the meantime, we'll be waiting for updates on a possible Swamp Thing Season 2.

Swamp Thing encountered several problems even before it aired on DC Universe. Although it was initially set for 13 episodes, this was cut down to 10 episodes. In addition to that, the series was cancelled right before its premiere.
